Society for Empowerment & Environmental Protection (SEEP), a national NGO specializing in women empowerment, environment protection & WASH, aims to improve the quality of life of women and especially children by providing the safe drinking water and pollution free environment. We are looking for highly motivated and skilled professionals to fill in the following positions for its Lahore based sewage treatment project; duration of project is one year.

 Job Title: Project Manager

S/N Position Total Post Location Position Type Eligibility Criteria
1 Project Manager 1 Lahore Fixed Term (One Year) Master’s degree in Natural/Pure Sciences, Social Sciences or development related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience of managing WASH, Environment protection, advocacy and awareness raising projects.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary of key function/ Results

v  Overall supervision and management of the project.

v  Periodic monitoring of the project implementation.

v  Develop, lead and manage close liaison with all stakeholders including donor.

v  Responsible for developing linkages with concerned Government Department.

v  Lead, design and manage activities of the project to achieve the overall objectives of the project.

v  Develop an effective Implementation strategy to ensure quality output of project deliverable s.

v  Technical inputs regarding project implementation.

v  Extend support in arranging meetings with local government authorities, community representatives, civil society and other stakeholders.

v  Capacity and team building of project staff.

v  Development of training material

v  Drafting progress reports (Narrative and Financial – monthly, quarterly and end of project reports) with the donor.

Required Experience and Skill:

 Job Title: Field Coordinator

1 Field Coordinator 1 Lahore Fixed Term (One Year)  Project Manager  Master’s degree in Natural/Pure Sciences, Social Sciences or development related field, having 3 years experience in project. WASH sector experience would be additional advantage.

 Profile Required:

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

v  For overall supervision of the field activities.

v  Work closely with project manager to execute project activities in the field.

v  Responsible for planning project activities, to ensure its proper implementation at the field level in adherence with SEEP and donor compliance.

v  To conduct regular project monitoring program adherence to SEEP methodologies & principles.

v  Monitoring visits to field and to provide technical support to field staff.

v  To manage site selection, formation of sanitation committees and development of MOU for land lease agreement.

v  Responsible for arrangement of project ceremonies and training according to work plan.

v  To provide input to prepare internal and external reports for SEEP and donors.

v  To ensure the environment protection in project/program activities.

v  To make sure that all the relevant stakeholders especially target community have enough information about SEEP background, program, objectives, working areas, duration of programs and activities in the field.

v  Conduct trainings in the field.

v  Perform any other official duty as assigned by Project Manager

 Job Title: Social Organizer

S/N Position Total Post Location Position Type Report to (Position) Eligibility Criteria
2 Social Organizer 1 Lahore Project Based (One Year) Field Coordinator Intermediate Degree (Bachelors Degree or equivalent) preferably. At least 2 years of proven experience in social mobilization, advocacy, community organization.  

 Major Roles and Responsibilities:

v  Work closely with field coordinator to execute project activities in the field.

v  Responsible to develop close relations with target communities.

v  Responsible for selection of village sanitation committees and arrangement of land lease documents.

v  Provide day-to-day  support to the technical staff installing waste water treatment systems

v  Daily visit to assess the status of project activities

v  Responsible to manage ceremonies and training’s under the guidance of PM and FC

v  Any other tasks as assigned by Field Coordinator

Qualifications and Experience:

v  Intermediate Degree (Bachelors Degree or equivalent) preferably).

v  A minimum of two-three years of relevant experience.

v  Experience of water and environment protection field

v  Experience of working in demanding situation.

Competencies/Behaviour

v  Basic computer skills.

v  Capacity to produce documents accurately

v  Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments and deadlines in achieving results.

v  Ability to plan and organize work by identifying priority activities and adjusting priorities as required.

v  Demonstrated approach to work that is characterized by commitment, motivation, energy and flexibility.

v  Commitment to the values of SEEP.

Skills

v  Fluency of local language is essential

v  Computer proficiency is essential (MS Word, Power Point and Excel)

v  Good communication skills (speaking, writing, presenting) and report writing skills.

Job Title: Project Manager

S/N Position Total Post Location Position Type Eligibility Criteria
1 Project Manager 1 Multan Temporary(for three months) At least Graduate, having 4 to five years experience in development sector, progressively responsible professional work experience at the national level organization in program planning, management and Implementation.

Profile Required:

v  Previous experience in the field of WASH or water related projects or community development projects

v  Demonstrated experience of community engagement for social change

v  Excellent administrative skills, highly organized, reliable and responsible

v  Team building skills, good team member as well as leader

v  Demonstrated ability to work sensitively with diverse people and communities

v  Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities and work cooperatively to build networks and satisfy needs of both internal and external stakeholders

v  Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and thriving in a start-up environment

v  Good IT skills

v  English: fluent with excellent report writing capacities

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

v  Project Implementation, community mobilization and capacity building

v  Resource mobilization & liaison with all stake holders

v  In collaboration with the head office management, work closely with Education Department, selected schools management communities /councils and beneficiary communities, and ensure program activities in the field remain on track and are delivering on donor commitments

v  Executive support to senior management  (where required)

v  Develops each component of the project in line with regards to project work plan and objectives.

v  Manage the overall implementation of the project

v  Coordinates the trainings/problem identification

v  Develop project reports, activity report according to set format by donor

v  Compile program updates to track project progress

v  Maintain close working relationship with other NGO’s to ensure effective and mutually beneficial coordination

v  Frames documentation in line with the specific requirements of seep head-office and donor agency.

v  Develop plan of action to conduct the project activities and implement them according to predefined objectives and deliverables

v  Overall responsible for the timely organization of project activities and project deliverable s

Job Title: Project Coordinator

S/N Position Total Post Location Position Type Eligibility Criteria
2 Project Coordinator 1 Multan Temporary(for three months) Degree: Graduate. At least 2-3 years of proven experience in field program execution /project management, advocacy/marketing or WASH. Experience of construction work would be additional advantage.

 Major Roles and Responsibilities:

v  Work closely with project manager in providing day-to-day support and oversight to program and to execute project activities

v  Responsible for arrangement and installation of solar powered drinking systems in schools

v  In collaboration with the PM work closely with education department, selected schools management councils and beneficiary communities to arrange required resources and ensure program activities are according to assigned task and work plan

v  Monitor the project activities and provide day-to-day management support to the technical staff regarding drinking water unit’s installation

v  Daily visit to assess the status of project activities and verify data

v  Work  within the field to develop project success stories

v  Responsible to arrange project activities, training sessions

v  Any other tasks as assigned by Project Manager

Education and Experience:

v  Preferred Graduate

v  A minimum of two years work experience in the nonprofit sector, with water related projects or experience of advocacy /marketing / project management

v  Experience of  assigned project activities organization, monitoring and supervision

Job Title: Finance Assistant

S/N Position Total Post Location Position Type Eligibility Criteria
3 Finance Assistant 1 Lahore Temporary(for three months) BBA, Bs Accounting & Finance/B.com related degree with 2-3 Year relevant Experience

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

v  Maintain the Project Accounts, Ledger Accounts, and Petty Cash

v  Prepare General Journal Vouchers, Cash Payment Vouchers, Bank Payment Vouchers and other Payment and Receipts Vouchers

v  Well aware about procurements process in NGO’s

v  Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements

v  Develop monthly assessments and forecast of the project financial performance against project budget, financial and operational goals

v   Prepare monthly pay roll and deductions of project staff including salaries tax deduction at source.

v  Supervise and effect tax deposit on purchase of goods and services in accordance with taxation rules and regulations.

v  Prepare Financial Statements; Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statement and other comparative financial statements

v  Prepare financial reports according to donor set formats and respond to quarries

v  Responsible to produce quarterly financial reports progress reports for regular information sharing

v  Responsible to coordinate with relevant Units, project teams for and against specific assignments in financial aspects

v  maintain regular communication with the senior finance management team of SEEP for better financial management

v  accept any other assignment given by the project manager or senior management

Skills:

v  MS-Office

v  Strong knowledge and skill on Accounting, Financial and Audit procedures

v  Knowledge about International accounting standards

v  Working knowledge on Financial software

v  Strong expertise on MS Excel and accounting software

v  Communication Skills

v  Others (Self-driven, results-oriented, planner, mature, reliable, tolerant, determined, empathic, flexible, accountable, and team-player.
